And what better way to do so than by supporting our local nonprofits on the upcoming Giving Tuesday? Today, we'll be highlighting some incredible organizations right here in Lake Sinclair that could greatly benefit from your support. Let's make a difference together!

Eatonton

The Plaza Arts Center

The Plaza Arts Center, which opened in 2008, has become a cultural mainstay in the Lake Country area. Each year, it attracts over 50,000 visitors who come to enjoy a range of programs, attend meetings and events, and take part in educational opportunities. The Plaza team is committed to nourishing knowledge and developing new skills through initiatives such as summer art camp, Camp Broadway, and free art programs like Second Saturday Crafts, which cater to children of all ages. Serving as a hub for local artisans, social and civic groups, the Plaza Arts Center consistently offers exceptional entertainment and services. It is often referred to as the "Heartbeat of Downtown Eatonton." The center also provides ways for people to get involved, such as through the Old School History Museum and The Plaza Alliance for the Performing Arts (PAPA). Eatonton-Putnam Chamber Of Commerce

The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce is a valuable resource for over 300 investor businesses and organizations in the area. The Chamber's main goal is to promote and support economic prosperity and tourism in Eatonton and Putnam County. They accomplish this by telling the story of the community and through various initiatives in areas such as tourism, community, workforce, and economic development.

Uncle Remus Museum

The Uncle Remus Museum aims to educate its visitors about the life and work of Joel Chandler Harris through various means such as historical storytelling, period artifacts, dioramas featuring the beloved Uncle Remus characters, insights into local history during Harris' formative years, and informative tours. Donations play a crucial role in supporting the museum's mission to enhance visitor knowledge about Harris and his contributions. By providing financial contributions, individuals can actively contribute towards preserving the past and ensuring the continuation of immersive tours and engaging exhibits at the museum.

The Artisans Village Art Gallery

The Artisans Village is a non-profit corporation with a 501c(3) status, established as a venture in economic development and art tourism.

Milledgeville

The Georgia Parenting Project

The Georgia Parenting Project is an exceptional non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving our community. They go beyond the call of duty by providing assistance to independent parents in areas such as health, development, nutrition, and access to necessary supplies for the well-being of their children. Animal Rescue Foundation Of Baldwin County Inc.

Animal Rescue Foundation, a local humane society, works tirelessly to find loving homes for stray dogs and cats. In addition to their adoption efforts, ARF is dedicated to promoting spaying and neutering of pets and educating the public on proper animal care. If you're interested in adding a furry friend to your family, ARF always has a variety of cats and dogs available for adoption, ranging in breed and size. Middle Georgia Community Food Bank

The main goal of the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank is to ensure that all members of the community have equal access to nutritious food. Milledgeville Allied Arts

Milledgeville Baldwin County Allied Arts, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit organization established on December 24, 1986.
