On December 9th at 5:30 PM, the historic Brown Stetson Sanford House in Milledgeville, Georgia, invites the community to a Holiday Open House filled with festive charm and nearly 200 years of history. Once an inn, tavern, private residence, and restaurant, this landmark is the last remaining early inn in Milledgeville open to the public, offering a unique glimpse into the past.
The evening will feature live music from the Baldwin High School Jazz Band on the front porch and a quartet in the music room, all set against a backdrop of holiday décor provided by the Carrington Woods Garden Club. Guests can enjoy light refreshments as they explore the beautifully preserved rooms, with docents available to share stories of the house’s storied past.
Admission is free (donations are welcomed). Join us for an evening of music, history, and holiday spirit at one of Milledgeville’s most treasured landmarks.
