The Greene County Historical Society in Greensboro, Georgia will be hosting an open house on Saturday, October 21 from 10am to 2pm. During the event, various guest historians will be stationed throughout the society, providing visitors with living history narratives about the exhibited items. This event is free.
One of the esteemed guest historians is Jim Higdon, a former resident of Greene County. After retiring as the executive director of the Georgia Municipal Association in Atlanta, Higdon redirected his creative energy towards crafting customized doll houses and other forms of art. At the open house, he will showcase his magnificent doll house, discussing the incredible amount of time and talent it took to create each exquisite work of art.
