Haunted Eatonton Ghost Tours

  • Georgia Writers Museum 109 South Jefferson Avenue Eatonton, GA, 31024 United States (map)

Haunted Eatonton’s ghost tours are an approximately 90-minute walk through the heart of historic and haunted Eatonton. Tours begin after dark, when the town’s otherworldly residents are said to come alive, wandering among one of Georgia’s most architecturally renowned and picturesque historic districts in Middle Georgia.

Haunted Eatonton weaves together local hauntings and history, as told by one of our generation’s greatest Southern [ghost] storytellers, Ann Hite. Ann is an award-winning Southern writer. She received the 2012 Georgia Author of the Year award for her debut novel, Ghosts on Black Mountain and was shortlisted for the Townsend Prize for Fiction. Since then, Ann has placed two more times in the Georgia Author of the Year competition; as a finalist in 2017 and with Honorable Mention in 2021. In 2023, Ann was a top 10 finalist for the Townsend Prize after publishing her latest novel, Haints on Black Mountain: A Haunted Short Story Collection that she crowd sourced from Facebook.
