Supplies for Students to bring:
You will need to supply your own beads. You can bring jewelry pieces from home if you are reimagining/repurposing them or purchase beads or even some combination of the two. Hobby Lobby is a good source for beads for beginning jewelry makers. Your bead costs will depend on what you buy and or bring with you.
Hobby Lobby’s bead strands are 7” long, so if you want to make a necklace and pair of earrings, at least 3 strands are recommended to create a 20” necklace and a pair of earrings. You can get creative and pick 2 to 3 different bead strands. If you want a longer necklace, more bead strands will be needed. My design rule of thumb is the more beads the better!
