Six-Week Art Sessions – Detailed Description:

Did you know that “Bee” is another word for a party or social function? It’s also the sweet name given to me by my two grandchildren. When planning the new painting sessions at The Artisans Village Gallery, it seemed as if the name found me. The Painting Bee was born!

I am excited to provide instruction to beginners as well as experienced artists. The group will meet once a week, and the cost for the 6-week session will be $240.00.  I will cover art instruction on a variety of different mediums.  Choose one or more during our 6-week session!  Choose from acrylic paint, oil paint, oil pastel, soft pastel, and/or watercolor.  If you have an interest outside of those mediums, we can discuss what supplies are needed.

Our next 6-week art sessions will begin on Thursday, July 20 from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. Classes will meet once a week and will be limited to 8 students. (six student minimum) Supplies are not included. One makeup class will be offered within the 6-week session.  All skill levels are welcome!

We will offer 2 different painting/instruction options:

1)  First, a step-by-step instruction painting with support and direction provided from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to learn a new medium or for our first time “paint dippers”! I will select the theme and reference material for these projects and will continually monitor your progress, offering help when needed.

2) The second format will be for those who wish to create a unique piece but desire support and feedback from an instructor. You can decide on the subject matter, painting style, and colors used. This is a great way to fine-tune your skills while receiving encouragement from your peers.

Supplies for Students to Bring:  Depending on the medium you choose to work with, the instructor will provide a supply list for you to purchase and bring to the first session.

CLASS SESSION DATES:

The class will run for six weeks starting July 20 with an additional week for makeup-session if you cannot make it to one of the classes. *Please note no class on August 10.   July 20th, July 27th, August 3rd, August 17th, August 24th, August 31st, and makeup on Sept. 7th.
