Week 2: Teen Theatre Camp at Georgia College and State University

Students age 13+

Join the GCSU theatre department this summer for a 5-day professionally curated workshop which focuses on acting and stage production training. From auditions to rehearsals to set design, students will be guided by Cathleen O’Neal, costume designer and experienced director. This camp is designed to offer a personalized learning experience, beginning with introductions and auditions for the student production and ending with new skills in leadership, acting, and theatre tech. Friends and family will be able to view the student’s talent and skill put into action through the end of the week performance!

Ages: Rising 10th Graders to 25 years old

The Plaza Arts Center and The Arts Barn are collaborating on the Summer Broadway Intensive program, this summer. Audition ARE required to participate.

The Plaza Arts Center and The Arts Barn are working together to provide young adults in tenth grade through 25 years of age a chance to garner their skills ranging from acting, singing, set building and costume design all the way to the technical aspects of a show.

From 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, Campers will explore acting, song, and dance combined with theatre games that hone acting skills and how to engage as an ensemble member.

In collaboration with The Arts Barn, this intensive is designed for high school and college-aged young adults to expand their talents. Auditions are required to participate. Auditions are April 23.

Cost: $300

Godspell is the musical for The Plaza and The Arts Barn's Summer Broadway Intensive.

Come to The Plaza on April 23 starting at 12:30 p.m. to audition for your spot!

Prepare:
-30 seconds of a song showing your best vocal talent
-30-60 second monologue

You will need:
-comfortable shoes & clothes
-signed liability form (found on artsbarn.net)
-water
-snack
-a headshot
-a resumé
-instrumental track/instrument for self-accompaniment

CALLING ALL ACTORS and DRAMA LOVERS! Theatre Camp is the perfect chance for any young actor to get their feet wet in a week-long camp where they can learn basic acting techniques, gain exposure to the inner workings of backstage life, and have a blast while doing it! This camp also includes pool time and recreation time. To top it off, on Friday, the campers will get the chance to show you just how much they have learned during their live performance!
Snacks will be provided but you must bring your own "brown bag" lunch each day.
